Former BRTO Women’s champion, Kim Holder, is through to the round of 16 in the BRTO OPEN 2024.
Playing before a modest crowd last night at Silver Hill, Christ Church, Holder easily dismissed Ranesha Stewart 21-8, 21-7 to advance to the next round.
In other ladies’ matches, Angela Burrowes brushed aside Megan Grosvenor 21-4, 21-8, whilst Asabi Downey won in straight sets over Astra Small 21-13, 21-12.
Cherene Ward also won by default against Abilla Clarke.
In action from the men’s matches, Marson Johnson was too good for Abbi “Playboy” Clarke winning 21-15, 21-15 in straight sets.
Dwaine Hope also proved too good for Ahijah Blunt as he outbattled him 21-14, 21-12.
On Sunday night’s card at Silver Hill Adrian Scott also comfortably defeated Hakeem Ellis 21-10, 21-10, whilst Shawn Spencer won the nightcap over Aaron Barker 23-21, 21-9.
All the winners of matches last night at Silverhill have advanced to the round of 16 in the BRTO OPEN 2024.
The action in the tournament moves to Gall Hill St John on Thursday night at 6:30 pm, as the round of 32 continues.
The round of 32 will wrap up at Dover on Sunday night when play starts at 6:30 pm.
